DAY 1 USA – Beijing
Board our overnight flight to Beijing and look forward to a China Highlight Adventure.
DAY 2 Arrive at Beijing
Welcome to China! Our flight lands at Beijing. We are transferred to the luxury hotel for well-deserved rest and relaxation.
DAY 3 Beijing
After breakfast we visit Tiananmen Square, the vast 11110 acres reportedly the largest square in the world. Proceed to the Forbidden City, where, for over 500 years, commoners were forbidden to enter. We also visit the regal Summer Palace at Kunming Lake, the summer home of the emperor and his royal court. Enjoy a famed local cuisine for dinner, followed by a stage show “the Legend of Kungfu”.
DAY 4 Beijing
Build over 2 2,500 years ago, the Great Wall embodies the magnificence and resilience of Chinese culture. Today we marvel at the incredible magnitude of the Great Wall. Walk along the Wall and be inspired by the commanding view and stark beauty of the timeless frontier. Our next stop is Qianmen Street. Later we visit the “Bird’s Nest” National Stadium, and view the amazing “Water Cube” Aquatics Centre and the National Grand Theatre. Tonight we taste one of China’s culinary treasure - the renowned Peking Duck Dinner Banquet.
DAY 5 Beijing – Xian
Start the day with a pilgrimage to the Temple of Heaven, a structure of classic Ming dynastic elegance, in the morning. Then, board a short domestic flight to Xian, the historic starting point of the famed Silk Road. Upon arrival at Xian, we are transferred to our hotel. Enjoy local Shaanxi hot pot cuisine dinner.
DAY 6 Xian
Excursions for the day: the amazing legions of Terra-Cotta Warriors of Qinshihuang, continue on to the Hua Qin Hot Spring. Enjoy the Imperial Dumpling Banquet for dinner tonight followed by the enchanting Tang Dynasty Stage Show.
DAY 7 Xian – Guilin
Our morning tour includes a visit to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and drive by the ancient Bell Tower and the massive 40-feet City Wall. Later we fly to Guilin. Karst limestone formations imbue Guilin’s landscape with a mystical quality. We take a trip to the Reed Flute Cave where fantastic stalactite and stalagmite formations impress us as magical and otherworldly. Elephant Trunk Hill is also visited. Guilin Rice Noodles are very famous. Tonight we’ll have a chance to taste it.
DAY 8 Guilin - Yangshuo – Guilin
A meandering river cruise down the Li River is a delightful way to appreciate the serene, fairytale landscape of Southern China. We may even catch the fascinating sights of fisherman with cormorant birds! Our cruise ends at Yangshou, after a brief city orientation tour of Yangshuo we return to Guilin by motor coach. Tonight, we are treated to a colorful Zhuang minority folklore dance show.
DAY 9 Guilin – Shanghai
Board a domestic flight to Shanghai, China’s largest city with a population of over 1 14 million. An afternoon city tour takes us to Yu Garden, bustling Nanjing Road, and the famous waterfront Bund. Tonight, after a Shanghai cuisine dinner, we are captivated by an impressive Chinese Acrobatics Show.
DAY 10 Shanghai - Zhenjiang – Yangzhou
Zhenjiang is a historical and famous city located by the Yangtze River. Jinshan Temple is among the most famous scenic spots in Zhenjiang. After a visit to Jinshan Temple, we travel to Yangzhou, a 2500-year-old city. In Yangzhou, we take a cruise on the man-made “Slim West Lake”, which dates back to Tang Dynasty, surrounded by weeping willows and beautiful pavilions. For dinner a local specialties cuisine will be served.
DAY 11 Yangzhou – Nanjing
Motor coach takes us to Nanjing and where we drive by the famed Yangtze River Bridge and Mingxiao Tomb. Dr. Sun Yat-Sen’s Mausoleum and Confucius Temple will be visited. Enjoy local specialties cuisine tonight.
DAY 12 Nanjing – Wuxi
Our Wuxi city tour takes us to the famous Yuantoudu Park which is built by the Lake Tai. For dinner, we are served the local cuisines including the delicious Wuxi Ribs.
DAY 13 Wuxi - Suzhou – Hangzhou
Suzhou, Known as the “Venice of the East”, is built around Grand Canal. The city’s many excellent classical gardens have entitled Suzhou the “Garden City”. Our sightseeing tour features the Grand Canal, the Humble Administrator’s Garden and Hanshan Temple. Proceed to Hangzhou, China’s poets have praised Hangzhou, likening it to a paradise on earth. A local cuisine is served for dinner.
DAY 14 Hangzhou – Shanghai
Our sightseeing tour in Hangzhou includes visits to the majestic Lin Yin Temple, Fei Lai Feng, and a scenic cruise on the famous West Lake. Later in the afternoon, we head back to the modern city - Shanghai.
DAY 15 Shanghai – USA
We transfer to the airport for our homebound flight as our unforgettable China trip ends.
