Day 01 USA – Beijing
We start our vacation by boarding an international flight bound for Beijing, the capital of modern-day China. Cross the International Date Line and spend the night on board the plane.
Day 02 Arrive at Beijing
Arrive at Beijing, after clearing customs and retrieving our baggage, we are met by our tour guide and transferred to our five-star hotel accommodations.
Day 03 Beijing – Hohhot
We board a flight bound for Hohhot, the capital city of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Inner Mongolia has a peculiar natural scenery, long history and brilliant culture. There are many historic sites in this area. Upon arrival, we transfer to our comfortable hotel. We are free at leisure in the rest of the day. For dinner we will be served the traditional unique dish - Roasted Mutton Legs.
Day 04 Hohhot – Grassland
After our breakfast we take last look of the grassland, and then we take the bus back to city Hohhot. The city tour takes us visit to Dazhao Lamasery, one of the biggest and best-preserved temples in Hohhot. Later, we have an opportunity to visit the famous Five Pagoda Temple and the General’s Official Residence of Suiyuan. For dinner tonight, the delicious roasted whole lamb will be served.
Day 05 Grassland – Hohhot
After our breakfast we take last look of the grassland, and then we take the bus back to city Hohhot. The city tour takes us visit to Dazhao Lamasery, one of the biggest and best-preserved temples in Hohhot. Later, we have an opportunity to visit the famous Five Pagoda Temple and the General’s Official Residence of Suiyuan. For dinner tonight, the delicious roasted whole lamb will be served.
Day 06 Hohhot – Baotou
Today we journey by bus to Baotou. The city orientation tour takes us to visit Meidaizhao, built in 1 1575 and served as both a residential area and a monastery. We continue on to Wudangzhao, a vast complex and used to be the residence of the highest ranking lama in Inner Mongolia and now it is the only intact Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Inner Mongolia. For dinner tonight, the famous local cuisine – Carp from Yellow River will be prepared.
Day 07 Baotou – Eerduosi
Today we are going to experience a natural phenomenon by visiting the Resonant Sand Bay in Eerduosi. Sliding down from the 90 meters high and 45 degrees sand hill, one can hear the sounds like automobile and aircraft engines, a phenomenon nobody can explain. Watch the 700-year traditional local wedding ceremony is another fun experience.
Day 08 Eerduosi – Yinchuan
Continue our tour to Tomb of Genghis Khan, the great leader of the Mongol Tribe. The coffins containing the remains of the Khan and his wife are enshrined in bedroom palace behind the memorial hall in the center of three interconnected hall in the design of Mongolian yurts. Later, we take bus to Yinchuan, the capital of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.
Day 09 Yinchuan – Zhongwei
This morning the bus takes us to Zhongwei where we visit the 1 108 Buddhist Pagodas. They range in height from 3 3.5 to 2 2.5 meters, fashioned in three shapes (pyramid, ground and vase) and arranged on a rising mountain slope in rows of increasing odd numbers to form a colossal triangle. Later, we visit Gaomiao and enjoy a cruise along the Yellow River by sheepskin raft.
Day 10 Zhongwei – Yinchuan
Back to city of Yinchuan, our tour starts with a visit to Western Xia Tombs, the largest and the best protected imperial cemeteries in China. Continue to Western Xia Museum to learn more of its history and culture. Later we proceed to see the cliff carvings in Helan Mountain. For dinner tonight the tastefully Lamb Hot Pot will be served.
Day 11 Yinchuan – Beijing
Board a flight bound for Beijing after breakfast. Enjoy a full-day of leisure to shop for souvenirs, or simply enjoy the sights of Beijing. For dinner, we enjoy local specialty cuisine.
Day 12 Beijing – USA
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for our homebound flight as our unforgettable China trip ends.
